[dropcap]G[/dropcap]unde Jari Gallanthayyinde comes from the makers of Ishq. Also music director Anup Rubens has been giving consistently good music off late which has created decent expectations for the album for us. Let us see how far has the team delivered which is almost the same except for the change of director.
Title song of the film is passable so is the item number Ding Ding Ding. There is nothing memorable or noticeable among the two songs. The later tries very hard to recreate Lachchamma from Ishq but falls flat. This leaves us with two more songs and a remix. The two songs “Tu Hi Re†and “Neeve Neeve†are fine and overall very pleasant listens. Singers elevate both the songs but also music director Anup Rubens is in fine form as well here.
Finally the much publicized remix of “Emaindo Emo†is a disappointment. Its music is alright taking the remix aspects into consideration but the singer choice is very poor. He ruins the song big time. There is a complete mismatch between the song’s beat and the singer’s voice which feels like forcibly inserted into the song.
Overall the album is saved by a couple of good numbers. It’s a disappointment considering that it is from the team of Ishq. Shows once again the importance of director, we guess.
Our picks of the album: Tu Hi Re, Neeve Neeve
