geetha govindam telugu movie review
Vijay Govind (Vijay Deverakonda (Gallery)) lost his mother when he was very young. He used to love his mother very much. After losing his mother, he wanted to marry a girl who becomes a mother to him and loves him so much. One day Vijay looks at Geetha (Rashmika (Gallery)) in a temple, who had the qualities of his mother. After that, he meets Geetha again on a journey to Kakinada.
A small mischievous thing done by Govind changed his love story entirely after everything was going out smoothly. How he faced the consequences after that is the remaining story. Continue reading geetha govindam telugu movie review.
Vijay Deverakonda (A Star On Rise) rocked as Vijay Govind. His innocence, his anger, his humour, his pain everything is enjoyable. There is a new Vijay Deverakonda on display here concerning the body language and acting or performance.
Rashmika Mandanna is the show stealer. She looked beautiful as Geetha. Her chemistry with Vijay Deverakonda was fantastic.
Subbaraju, Nagababu, Rahul Ramakrishna everyone did justice to their roles. Vennela Kishore again became a trump card in the end. His scenes were hilarious which took the movie to the next level
Gopi Sundar’s music is good, and BGM is also neat. Cinematography by Manikandan is superb. Editing work is also good mainly 1st half is too crisp. The direction is good. He deserves it. Production values are excellent by GA2 Pictures.
The basic plot of Geetha Govindam is simple with an equally simple conflict. Director Parasuram works hard on the writing and characterisation to make the whole thing look fresh and click.
It takes only two scenes to get engaged to Vijay’s character. Once, that is done there is no looking back in the first half. The funny scenes and exciting scenarios kept the narrative fluid and focussed in the first half.
There is small trouble, and it comes during the second half when the proceedings feel stagnated. The lead actors keep one hooked, but it is obvious the content is weak. The drama picks up in the second half towards pre-climax, and it goes on that path until the end, making Geetha Govindam an immensely likeable film.
1. Vijay Rashmika Pair.
3. Vennela Kishore Comedy
There are no much drawbacks to say but when compared to 1st half 2nd half was not that entertaining. Also, some dialogues at the end were not that touching (artificial).
Verdict: Vijay’s success streak continues.
