Recently in an interview, director Harish Shankar revealed that Mirapakai was initially planned with Power Star Pawan Kalyan and that the film was titled as Romantic Rishi back then.
This was the film that was launched as Production Number 2 by Bandla Ganesh that was to star Kajal as heroine opposite Pawan Kalyan. However the film could not make it to the sets and instead of this film Teenmaar came into being.
