[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he inevitable day has at last arrived. Powerstar has finally an Industry Hit attached to his name. Well Atharintiki Daredi has crossed the previous Industry Hit Magadheera today and become the new benchmark for collections in Telugu cinema.
It was inevitable because it was something the fans always truly believed and promised, the trade always expected but the star failed to deliver over the years. It was always about the ‘right’ project, as fans put it, and finally when the ‘right’ project fell Powerstar proved everyone right by overcoming odds that threatened to kill the run at every turn. And to top it all, he did it in a genre that is anything but massy.
After over four years (and few months) Pawan Kalyan is going to, for the first time, cross Magadheera in a territory (others will follow). Who could have imagined this scenario couple of years ago but that is what star heroes can do(and Pawan has been the top of the heap for long), turn your world upside down, make all the predictions look like a joke. When someone could take a class movie disaster close to a mass movie disaster, right after delivering an irreparable joke of a disaster, you know this was coming sooner than later when that someone gets a hit talk for his film.
Congrats to all the Mega and Power fans for this historical achievement. Whether the film might be remembered or not over the years for its content (we are as yet unsure of its post theatrical life) but the film will be forever remembered in the annals of Telugu film industry under the circumstances in which it achieved it. In the end we would simply like to reproduce a statement that is doing the rounds in social networking sites – Piracy, Bandhs, Exams, Rains, Power Cuts, and Agitations – Industry Hit. Well that’s Power Star Pawan Kalyan.
