Govindudu Andarivadele had a mid week release and although technically its extended week 1 still has a couple of more days to go, we look at its first 7 days collections in comparison with others.
GAV has done pretty good at the box office in its first seven days taking advantage of the holidays as much as it can across all the territories. Nizam and Ceded are the two areas which gave the best holiday returns to the movie while Nellore and Uttar Andhra continued to show the star power of Ram Charan. Other areas have been good only on the holidays and ordinary otherwise. Overall for the mixed talk the film generated and kind of low pre-release buzz the film had owning to the combination, an All Time Top 3 Opening, is a very good outcome that fans would accept with glee. Trade wise it could have done more as we can see it has set no first week record in any territory.
Early estimates suggest the domestic (AP and Telangana) collections to be approximately around 28 Cr and the Worldwide collections around 34Cr to 35Cr. It’s the third best opening of All Time behind Atharintiki Daredi and Yevadu and the second best for this year after Yevadu.
